SweatPicks is a research-led publisher. We build every ranking from three things: manufacturer specifications, published safety and performance standards, and a large sample of verified owner reviews across multiple retailers. We do not fabricate hands-on testing, and we tell you clearly when a finding is research-based rather than measured in a lab.
Our process
- Map the category. We list the products people actually buy, including current and recent models.
- Shortlist. We filter by specifications, safety, availability and price, and drop discontinued products.
- Research. We read manufacturer pages and manuals, check relevant standards, and analyse verified owner reviews for real strengths and recurring complaints.
- Score. Each finalist is scored against fixed criteria. See our rating system.
- Rank and write. We explain who each pick is for, and who should avoid it.
- Update. We re-check models, availability and prices on a schedule.
What we do not do
We do not claim to physically test every product. Where we have not handled a product ourselves, we say so. We never accept payment for a ranking.
